Personal Endeavour Scholarships

The Personal Endeavour Scholarship recognises and encourages students who demonstrate a strong work ethic and consistently excel academically and in leadership.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Personal Endeavour Scholarship at Scotch College Adelaide, applicants must be:

  • a new student entering into Year 4, 5 or 6, or
  • a current student entering into Year 4, 5 or 6

Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa. All applicants will also be required to complete the EduTest scholarship examination as part of the scholarship application process (details on this page).

Selection Criteria

Student selection is based on consistently achieving high levels of academic excellence, engaging in the college community and demonstrating strong leadership skills.

All applicants will be required to complete the EduTest scholarship examination and will be invited to attend a Come and Try day on Monday 17 February 2025 which is compulsory and part of the scholarship application process.

Scholarship Examination: 15 February 2025 (EduTest)

Scholarship outcomes communicated to families by 31 March 2025.

What does a Personal Endeavour Scholarship cover?

Up to 50% of the day fee; may vary depending on the individual.

Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.

The scholarship awarded applies to the relevant Scotch College day fee, but not to uniforms, enrolment fees, purchase of an iPad, transport, private vocal or instrumental lessons, textbooks and stationery, excursions, co-curricular activities, sundry charges or other personal items.

All scholarship holders must meet several agreed expectations if they are to continue to receive the award.
