Excellence Scholarships

Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate excellence in academics and/or sport, performing arts, music, dance or community service.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an Excellence Scholarship at Scotch College Adelaide, applicants must be:

a new student entering into Years 7 – 11, or
a current student entering into Years 7 – 11

Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa.

Selection Criteria

Student selection is based on academic attitude and achievement, an exemplary work ethic and strong leadership skills.

Successful candidates will be eager to participate in the wide range of opportunities and activities available at the college, demonstrate a commitment to making a positive difference and adhere to the scholarship expectations.

Key Dates

Applications open: Monday 28 October 2024
Applications close: Friday 17 January 2025

Scholarship outcomes communicated to families by 31 March 2025.

What does an Excellence Scholarship cover?

Up to 50% of the day fee; may vary depending on the individual.

Awards of over 50% are made in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents will be asked to complete a financial assessment form.

The scholarship awarded applies to the relevant Scotch College day fee, but not to uniforms, enrolment fees, purchase of a laptop, private vocal or instrumental lessons, textbooks, excursions, sundry charges or other personal items.

All scholarship holders must meet several agreed expectations if they are to continue to receive the award.
