Celebrating our Culture of Giving
Scotch was founded on the benefaction and generosity of Presbyterian leaders and families who purchased Torrens Park House to establish Scotch College as a memorial to the “Sons of Scotland”. Their foresight and generosity built a place that has since seen over thirteen thousand young people pass through its gates empowered to transform their world and its future.
For over 100 years, the ongoing generosity and benefaction of our community has enabled us to build on our strong foundations; providing outstanding educational opportunities through the provision of need-based scholarships as well as the development of new teaching and learning facilities.
The Purruna Spencer Newton Centre, officially opened in February 2023, stands as a remarkable testament to the collaborative spirit of our community, made possible through the vision and dedication of so many. The culmination of the Centenary “Dare” Campaign, which resulted in a remarkable $10 million philanthropic achievement, demonstrates what can be achieved when we unite for a common cause.
School fees and government grants alone do not provide for the ongoing advancement of the College and thus we rely on the generosity of our community to achieve the College’s broader educational aspirations and vision.
Thank you for considering a gift to the Scotch College Foundation and supporting our commitment to tomorrow. Every gift, regardless of size, will help shape the future of the College.
